American Camera Co. 4x5 Folding Camera with Reichenbach, Morey & Will Shutter

Here is an extremely rare 4x5 folding plate camera made by the American Camera Co. The camera has many distinct features that were different from other folding cameras from that time including the sliding back door to expose the ground glass. Blair spent alot of time in England and the camera looks to have been influenced by English cameras of the time. The camera has a rare.

That shutter company was also very short lived and hardly any of there items are still around. It has its original red bellows. I see some slight misfolds near the rear of the bellows.

The leather covering does show wear from age and the button has been repaired. The ground glass is intact. The catch above the door does not hold well and the door usually pops open on its own. The camera interior is a nice mahogany and it has a very attractive label above the lens.
